Greetings
and welcome to the Georgia School Public Relations Association.
Public education is woven into the fabric of our communities, our
state and this great country. But as an institution, public
education is under greater pressures than ever before.
Accountability standards, increasing budget constraints, and a
shortage of quality teachers are just some of the complex issues
facing education today.
As “the voice for
public education” in Georgia, GSPRA members serve as an
increasingly vital communication link between our school systems
and parents, taxpayers, business and government leaders. Public
education cannot succeed without the entire community’s
involvement. But to build those relationships, we must listen as
well as inform. We must be open, transparent in all we do. And
yes, we must be accountable.
GSPRA serves as a
resource not only for school public relations professionals, but
also superintendents, administrators, board of education members,
and anyone else interested in quality education that improves the
future of our most precious of natural resources – our children.
